I first met Suzanne in the 70’s when she worked in Reception at various 5 star Hotels in London - and an International Motoring Journalist in her spare time! We met several times over the next few years as she came over practically every year in order to meet her Hospitality contracts. Every time she returned, she said “Why don't you come to Australia for a visit” - like it was just a couple of hours drive ! We could see then that Suzanne applies her “whatever it takes” psyche to pretty much everything she sets out to achieve. At the end of 1991 myself and a close friend decided to embark on a round the world trip & finally arrived in Adelaide after a few quick stops enroute. There to meet us was Suzanne, wearing a big smile - as if to say “You can run, but you can’t hide”! It was patently clear to me then that she was destined to play no small part in Australian Tourism, a “Natural” if you like – and it has been my pleasure to watch her grow, knowing the levels of perfection she pursues! She picked us up in her own car, took us to her house, cooked for us, arranged to treat us to some of the most popular tourist attractions and made us extremely welcome. I know that she did similar things for many other global friends over the years to follow and there is no doubt in my mind that this is why Aussie Assist is so successful. Suzanne is one of the most generous and passionate people I know, in life and in business. In 2002 my wife and I returned to Adelaide. Once again Suzanne was waiting at the airport with her flash car. We enjoyed a few days touring locally before being taken to Kangaroo Island where Suzanne offers several private houses and an absolute must for anyone visiting South Australia. We saw all sorts of wildlife, even got to hand feed kangaroos at a unique animal sanctuary where there were Koalas and the rare Red tailed black cockatoo – fantastic! We also visited several top Southern Vales wineries that Suzanne recommended, before being served a wonderful alfresco lunch featuring local products – the perfect closure to an unforgettable holiday! All in all I would just like to congratulate Suzanne for what she has achieved at Aussie Assist for no other reason than - she deserves it. Hi Suzanne Back safe and sound from my trip to Outback and have to thankyou and add - it was absolutely fabulous! I had such a wonderful time - we were just a small group of seven but everyone was very friendly & looked out for each other. Your guide was brilliant - a regular “Jack of all trades” - the best “barbie” cook ever and a fount of interesting information. I don't think I got bitten once on the trip, well not until I got back to civilisation in Alice when I think a mosquito had a good feed. We saw loads of wildlife - kangaroos of every shape & size - red, grey Euro, we saw emus, skinks, lizards, rock wallabys, even camels and the birds were beautiful! Even the guide commented on how lucky we had been to see so much! The accommodation was clean & comfortable - strange feeling sleeping underground in Coober Pedy. Slept in my swag under the stars for two nights and that was an amazing/unique experience - the stars were so incredibly beautiful. Thank you for arranging all this for me and also for making me so welcome! Travelling alone, It made such a difference to my trip and good to finally meet you after e-mailing for so long! It was great to meet you in person and very much appreciated the chance to share lunch together - rather than spend 4 hours in the airport! Our stay on Kangaroo Island was wonderful, we saw lots of wildlife and had some lovely relaxing walks around the island. The accommodation you arranged was excellent and we loved the fairy penguin tour - so cute! Thank you for organizing everything on such a short notice (especially considering you were in Townsville at the time!)and for personally taking time to meet us on arrival. We hope that we will get a chance to come back to Australia soon and would love to see you again. We will definitely recommend your 5 star service to all our friends back here! G’Day Mate! What can we say about Aussie Assist in Adelaide, South Australia - maybe “Been there - done that - seen that - now it’s your turn!” Well we really fell on our feet when we discovered Aussie Assist. I found Suzanne after browsing the net for some time, searching for Aussie holiday deals - and what a find! Her friendly outgoing attitude to life and her unmistakable passion for her business was evident from the outset and she worked through the whole itinerary, patiently feeding us all the options. Everything we wanted to do and see was thoroughly researched by Suzanne and in some cases she only recommended products and destinations that she had personally experienced, what a bonus! Her personalised “Meet and Greet” service in Adelaide was most welcome after a tiring 22 hour flight and the only thing to cap her smiling face on arrival was the fantastic alfresco lunch she prepared for us before we picked up our pre booked Campervan and pushed on to see more of this great country. Everything organised by Aussie Assist was first class, with some superb bird-watching on Kangaroo Island (found the red-tailed black cockatoo), incredible waterfront Bed & breakfast accommodation and a very special Anniversary Winery Balloon trip to top it off. Dear Suzanne, It was a pleasure dealing with you from the very beginning. Your website was comprehensive and informative, and your quick response truly impressed us that you were dedicated to give such excellent service. After several e-mails and a long-distance phone call from Bangkok, we finally had our itinerary fixed up to our specifications. Thank you so much for picking us up from the airport! As first-timers to your country, the Meet & Greet service was a welcome relief after the long 10-hour flight and delay at Melbourne airport. Thank you also for opening up your home and treating us more than your guests. We are truly grateful for your hospitality and the warmth shown to us. We also liked the traditional Aussie steak dinner as it was a great way to start our honeymoon and exposure to Australian culture. The next 4 days were simply glorious and beyond our expectations! We loved the leisurely drive through the countryside to the Barossa & McLaren Valleys. The wines tasted were awesome (as evidenced by the 20 bottles purchased) and the B&B was just marvelous and perfect! We enjoyed the morning breakfast and chatting with the owners, as well as the afternoon strolls around the lake and through the vineyards plus the Kangaroo walk! As well, the tasty pates, cheeses and grapes were an added bonus! We truly had a fantastic and awesome time, and we are still talking about this trip with family and friends. We are now enticed to come back and explore the other States and of course, we will do so through you! We were truly impressed with your dedication and passion for what you're doing, and we are very fortunate to have had the chance to spend 6 days with you and be personally escorted. When we sent out emails to fifteen travel agents late in 2002 asking for outlines of packages to Broome (Western Australia) for my honeymoon, we eventually got back emails from three travel agents, of which one was a "not interested unless you make a time to come and talk to us in person" and another was inflexible and disinterested. Then there was the reply from Aussie Assist, which we received on the same day that it was sent! After many emails (and later phone calls) during which time she took the time to get an idea of what we were interested in, Suzanne researched what was available and put together a tailored package that gave us a mix of relaxation and adventure that looked on paper to be ideal. It must be said that we were a bit apprehensive of paying for a holiday through someone we had never physically met, but in hindsight it went really well! Everything was organised and paid for weeks in advance, we were looked after from the moment we got off the plane, and every place we stayed at and tour we went on was of an outstanding quality and we had a fantastic time. Looking back, there may have been other pre-packaged deals that would have been cheaper, but our emphasis was on making sure we didn't end up in any dodgy situations in somewhere as isolated as Broome (fantastic) and any extra money we paid (which wouldn't have been much anyway) was well worth it! When we “got stuck” in Sydney, we thought we would be sleeping under the Harbor bridge but no, one call to you and it all fell into place - and fast! As independent travellers, wanting to organise an extensive tour of The Outback, we emailed over 70 tour operators and travel agents in Australia. I recently had the pleasure of booking a Campervan holiday online with Aussie Assist. I was a bit nervous doing this through Suzanne (an independent Agent) but her timely emails and speedy, thorough replies leave me in no doubt that all will be in order when I arrive in June. "Hey Suzanne! You asked me if I was "happy with your service" would I drop you a line when I got home. Well, I'm still in Perth and couldn't possibly express my gratitude to you in one line! When I walked into my local Travel Agent back home 6 months ago and announced my dream trip to tour Australia, I knew immediately I had made a BIG ask - then a week later they advised they were "unable to service my request" - my heart sank. Enter Aussie Assist - thankfully, my Agent continued the search and soon after found you on the Internet and what a find! To locate someone willing to put the whole deal together for me in 3 weeks was a challenge in itself but you did and here I am! I can't begin to tell you how impressed I am with your country, your business, your service, your prices, your personal touches and thoughtful input into my rather challenging itinerary! To be in Sydney on New Years Eve was a dream come true, the Hunter Valley was a great day tour and being a native American, to see Ayers Rock and experience your indigenous history was unforgettable. As you promised, Perth is beautiful and the 4WD camping tour you arranged was amazing value but the best part was Adelaide and to think I nearly missed it! Kangaroo Island was very special, the wildlife and scenery was incredible and I would not have had that experience if not for you. I honestly can't thank you enough, the accommodation everywhere was great. All your B&B hosts were wonderful, your Hotels and Tours represent amazing value, your personal attention to detail has to be experienced to be believed and the extra effort you applied to get me where I wanted to go is something I can only describe as priceless. Who would have thought (or believed) I could spend 8 weeks touring Australia (alone) and do it all for US$4,000:00! So, if you are thinking about a holiday in Australia - with Aussie Assist - don't think about it-DO IT !

Re: A Pat on the Back Dear Suzanne, This is just a short, if somewhat belated note to thank you and your staff for the "kidnap weekend" you arranged for Claudia and myself. As you know, I arrange these surprise escapes for Claudia every 2 or so years and usually spend considerable time and money dealing with the various operators; airlines, hotels, hire car companies etc. The secrecy factor adds to the complication. I appreciated being able to hand the whole thing over to you, knowing that all the detail was covered. Your service really paid dividends when we missed our morning flight on day one. One call to your office and the various arrangements were altered to cover our late arrival. The 63 Pontiac and the "cruise" to the Murray was a highlight and set the mood for the entire trip. It really was special! It had such an impact on us that we have just found and purchased a "cruiser" for ourselves. A 1959 Cadillac Sedan Deville, pink of course. I have attached a photo. Just wanted everyone who is going to be travelling in and around Australia in the near future and and want to save loads of money,then you just "have to" get in touch with Suzanne at Aussie Assist! I thought I was getting good discounts for airfares,accomodations,etc.on my own,until I talked with "THE GAL THAT KNOWS"!! Suzanne saved me a lot of time,aggravation,and most importantly-money! She knows where the discounts are that no other travel agencies can even guess at. After chatting with her a few times,we reworked my itinerary from top to bottom and in March 2001, I flew to Sydney from the States and began my holiday! Everything was even better than I anticipated-from airport/hotel transfers, wonderful accomodations, and even day tours Suzanne told me about, were fantastic! Not to mention all the flights I took from city to city where I paid a "fraction" of what I originally had planned. I don't know how she does it but very glad she helped me out!! She even met me for lunch in Surfers Paradise and wanted to make sure I was having a great time! So if you think you found good discounts for your travel plans before talking with Suzanne, thats fine. If you want to find the REALLY GREAT discounts, and spend a whole lot less-then you must get in touch with her!! Thanks so much Suzanne for the chats, lunch and saving me all that money!
